Stewardship

“Since the company’s inception, sustainability and philanthropy have been at the heart of our business ethos. How our footprint impacts every aspect of the landscape of our endeavors, guides us in our commitment to enhance each community in which we do business.”

Community & Sustainability

At The Schuster Group, sustainability is about more than building green—it’s about creating spaces that prioritize environmental responsibility, healthy living, and long-term community impact. Over the past 20 years, we’ve developed projects that set new standards in sustainable development, including some of Seattle’s first LEED®-certified and Green Globes™-certified high-rise buildings. These milestones reflect our commitment to reducing environmental impact and enhancing the efficiency of building operations.

Our dedication extends beyond our projects and into the communities we serve. Through volunteerism, nonprofit leadership, and partnerships, we work to address critical issues such as homelessness, hunger, and social justice. Initiatives like diversity education programs exemplify our belief that building a sustainable future also means investing in the people and communities around us.

Through the Schuster Foundation, The Schuster Group supports organizations focused on the following endeavors:

  • Civil Rights and Social Justice
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Combating Homelessness, Hunger Relief & Nutrition
  • Music Education and Acoustic Music Genre
  • Animal Rights & Promoting Plant-Based Nutrition

One example of a key initiative supported by The Schuster Group is the Anti-Defamation League’s No Place for Hate Campaign. As the lead sponsor of the campaign, The Schuster Group helped launch a diversity education curriculum in schools throughout the Pacific Northwest.
