“Since the company’s inception, sustainability and philanthropy have been at the heart of our business ethos. How our footprint impacts every aspect of the landscape of our endeavors, guides us in our commitment to enhance each community in which we do business.”

~ MARK R. SCHUSTER

It’s about more than building green.

At The Schuster Group, sustainable principles and social equity have been a part of our core philosophy for the past 20 years. Our firm developed Seattle’s first Silver LEED® certified and Built Green™ condominium high-rise, was the first to deliver a Green Globes® certified multi-family high-rise project in the City of Seattle, and was the first in the city (and state of Washington) to receive double LEED® Existing Building and Commercial Interior certification on an office building, and was the first in the state to develop a Green Globes™ certified high-rise residential project.

Our sustainable principles can be summarized through three primary objectives:

  • To reduce and/or eliminate the negative environmental effects of any new building projects which we invest in and develop
  • To increase the efficiency of buildings’ operations
  • To create quality environments for our customers, therefore contributing to the overall social fabric of our environment and civic structure

Sustainability is about more than building green, it’s about approaching a project holistically and designing and developing a project with low environmental impact, healthy environments, and sustainable value.
