The Schuster Group Partners with Mercy Housing on Civil Construction for Affordable Housing Project

Seattle, WA – 12/11/2025 – The Schuster Group is proud to announce its strategic partnership with Mercy Housing Northwest on the James Center North project, an innovative infrastructure and affordable housing development in collaboration with the Tacoma Housing Authority (THA). This exciting partnership brings together our expertise in civil construction and Mercy Housing’s commitment to community-focused development.

The project will feature essential improvements including stormwater infrastructure, sewer system upgrades, accessible pathways, and enhancements to the sewer main. These upgrades are integral to supporting Mercy Housing Northwest’s new 129-unit affordable family housing development. THA, which has led the James Center North redevelopment since 2017, is working closely with Mercy Housing Northwest to ensure the project meets all City-required infrastructure updates.
